This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how Sphere Min Inc. (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with the STU mobile application (“STU”), our website (spheremin.com), and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
You acknowledge and agree that this Policy is provided in connection with the beta testing phase of the Service, and may be updated or modified from time to time to meet operational requirements.
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to the terms of this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Identifiers – Account ID, email address, device identifiers, IP address.
Usage Information – Logs, app activity, crash/error reports.
Geolocation Data – Approximate location based on IP (we do not collect precise GPS data).
Audio Content – Voice recordings (STUs) and any tags you add.
Inferences – Emotion tags, preferences, personalization data derived from usage.
Sensitive Personal Information – Audio content and emotion tags may qualify as sensitive data under applicable law. We do not collect social security numbers, driver’s license numbers, payment card data, biometric identifiers (e.g., fingerprints, facial scans), or similar highly sensitive data.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
Provide and operate STU core features (voice sharing, voice filters, personalization).
Facilitate account creation, login, and security.
Improve Services (debugging, analytics, error detection).
Protect users against fraud, abuse, and unauthorized activity.
Comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Information
We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
Service Providers – Hosting, analytics, moderation, and security vendors.
Legal Obligations – When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
User-Directed Sharing – If you voluntarily make content public (e.g., sharing a STU).
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for monetary consideration or cross- context behavioral advertising.
4. Data Retention
Account deletion can be requested through the in-app settings. Upon deletion, user data is processed as follows, in accordance with legal obligations:
Publicly visible identifiers and profile information (username, profile image, save/loop history, search history, share history, language preferences) as well as inference data derived from usage patterns will no longer be displayed to other members. Such data may be retained internally for up to one (1) year to establish, exercise, or defend against
potential legal claims.
Login records, identifiers (UID, device identifiers, IP), report history, block history, and audio content may be retained for up to one (1) year from the date of last activity for purposes of safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and security.
After the retention period ends, data that is no longer necessary will be permanently deleted or anonymized. “Permanent deletion” includes removal from both operational servers and backups/archives, except where retention is legally required.
In cases of legal disputes, regulatory investigations, or litigation, relevant data may be retained beyond the periods described above until the matter is resolved.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:
Access and obtain a copy of your personal data.
Correct inaccurate information.
Delete personal data.
Withdraw consent (for sensitive personal data).
Object to processing or request restriction.

6. Children’s Privacy
STU is not directed to or intended for children under 18 (or the minimum age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child, we will take steps required by applicable law, which may include deleting such information. Beyond those legal obligations, we assume no responsibility or liability for false representations made by users regarding their age or eligibility. Responsibility for providing accurate registration information rests solely with the user or, where applicable, their legal guardian.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption, access controls, secure storage) to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International Transfers
Your data may be processed and stored outside your country of residence, including the United States. We take appropriate safeguards for such transfers as required by law.
9. Changes to this Policy
This Privacy Policy is provided in connection with the beta testing phase of the Service and may be updated or modified from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or to meet legal and operational requirements. In the event of any material changes, we will notify users by posting an updated version within the Service or through other appropriate communication channels.

A. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
Categories of Personal Information
We collect the following categories: identifiers (account ID, email, device identifiers), internet/network activity (logs, usage data), geolocation (approximate IP-based), audio content (voice recordings, tags), inferences (preferences, personalization), and sensitive personal information (emotions reflected in voice).
We do not collect Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account information, or biometric identifiers.
Retention
Account data: deleted upon request or inactivity.
Safety retention: 90 days post-deletion; up to 1 year for banned accounts.
Legal/tax: up to 10 years.
Consent: 5 years.
Consumer Rights California residents have rights to know/access, correction, deletion, opt-out of sale/sharing (not applicable, as we do not sell/share data), and non-discrimination.
